Per aquesta raó s’analitzaran abans de tot les condicions de la finca i es valoraran les principals dificultats que s’hauran d’afrontar, així com els aspectes econòmics, de comercialització i de certificació ecològica. | A sustainable agriculture is dependent on how we care for and cultivate our soil. Not only in terms of producing food of good quality, but also in terms of maintaining the quality of the soil to feed future generations, nature of the farm land, of the surrounding landscape, and not least the quality of rural livelihood. From a neoclassic perspective the market is seen as driver of a sustainable development, depending on will of the political consumer. | A Risk Based Inspection (RBI) scheme is a planning tool used to develop the optimum plan for the execution of inspection activities. Organic certification system could benefit from the implementation of RBIs in terms of higher effectiveness, i.e. trustability, and lower transaction costs for organic operators. Data from certification bodies provide basic information about non-compliances and structural aspects of organic operators. Here we propose a methodological approach to risk analysis modelling, based on discrete choice models and Bayesian networks, both aiming at the identification of key risk factor in the organic certification process in the European Union. |

| To promote a common concept of sustainability assessment, the FAO published guidelines for the Sustainability Assessment of Food and Agriculture Systems (SAFA). The aim of this paper is to present and discuss a method, which operationalises the SAFA-Guidelines at farm level, based on the concept of Multi-Criteria Analysis. The assessment method determines the degree of goal achievement of the 58 SAFA subthemes using a set of over 300 indicators, which is adapted according to farm type and region. It is therefore globally applicable, able to identify differences in different areas of sustainability between farms and can complement existing methods such as LCA. |

| Slovenia lies between Croatia (south), Austria (north), Hungary (east) and Italy on the west part. It has approximately 2.000.000 million inhabitants with 20.273 km2 surface area. Slovenia is predominately mountain country. Slovenian mountain and hilly regions are spread out over more than 72,3% of that nation’s total area (1.467.240 hectares). The hilly and mountain regions fall under LFA (less favored) areas which represent 86,3% (1.750.920 hectares) of all nation’s total area.
